Authorized To Prosper
Copyright © Ernest Johnson http://www.TheRichHead.com About the saddest occasion for me is at the eleven o'clock service on Sunday morning, when I look around at all the people in church who are worshiping a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, and because most of them don't know their authority, they may never receive the prosperity that God has authorized them to have. I want to cry out "Don't you know that we are the children of God, and God is not poor and does not want us to be? Our Father in heaven supplies all our needs and gives us the desires of our hearts." A few weeks ago, after Sunday morning service, I overheard a member of the congregation saying that he was looking for a home business opportunity. From other conversations with this member, I knew that he had a general knowledge of computers and surfing the web. So therefore, I gave him one of my business cards and told him that I thought this particular business could possibly work for him. He was really excited and appreciative. Nearly in tears, he thanked me over and over and over again. I was really happy for him and really glad that I had extended the offer. A few weeks passed before I saw him again, and so I asked him how he was doing with the business. "Well" he said, "I haven't really looked at it yet." Needless to say I was somewhat disappointed. I asked God in prayer, what is it that paralyzes us and keeps us from taking action? The Spirit said to me, "It is Fear, because my children do not know that they are authorized to prosper." God gives us the power (authority) to get wealth. His word tells us that life and death (living well or not) are in the power of the tongue. So many of us can quote scripture, but very few are diligent to present themselves approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The ones who are diligent are obvious. They are the biggest tithers. They truly know that God opens up the windows of heaven and rebukes the devourer. The diligent are always the first to sow because they know what God means by "Give and it shall be given unto you." They always appear to be healthy. They don't even catch a cold, because they know that "By His stripes we are healed." They live in perfect peace because their minds are stayed on Him. Everything that their hands touch prospers, because they delight in the law of the Lord and meditate in it day and night. In other words, the diligent ones know that they are authorized by God (His Word) to prosper, and for them all things are possible. Therefore, it is impossible for them to fail. Yes, I was disappointed. I handed him a business card and because he doesn't know he is authorized to prosper, he doesn't know that he can not fail. He doesn't know that he is authorized to use the power of his tongue to bind that spirit of fear and cast it out with a word. Because he doesn't know his authority, he doesn't know that his need is met, he's debt free, and he lends and does not borrow. He doesn't know that in everything he is more than a conqueror, because he should know that he can do all things through Christ, who strengthens him.
